Interesting finding: Levitation

Levitation (from Latin levitas "lightness")[1] is the process by which an object is suspended by a physical force against gravity, in a stable position without solid physical contact. - wikipedia

A while ago, i heard about this interesting way of taking photos trend via a Taiwanese talk show. Then my friend sent me a link via twitter to this amazing Japanese lady's blog

Just how cool are these photos!

Go read about how she took these shots over here.

Have you tried taking shots like these?

Giant Yellow Rabbit

by Florentjin Hofman

Introducing the 'stor gul kanin (big yellow rabbit)' by florentijn hofman in örebro, Sweden.

Have you seen this ginormous rabbit installation going around on the internet lately?

It's just simply too cute! I wonder if people can climb on it...like little enthusiastic kids could easily climb to the top...provided it's safe to do so!

or maybe soon this rabbit will be made into a soft toy!!
My niece would love it to pieces!

Photo from B&M Blog

Photo from B&M Blog

And for lunch today, I met up with my bro and we went to Fremantle for fish & chips lunch at Cicerellos. Then we walked around window-shopping. Wecame across a lovely shop called B & M. It has shelves full of attractive things like bags (Bag 'n' Noun from Japan), accessories, stationery, greeting cards & homewares. They also stock some Tin Tin collectibles too. Very cute!

I'm glad i've found another lovely shop for gift-hunting. Adding it to my favourite shops list.

B & M loves felt, and they are Australia's supplier of premium German 100% wool design and craft felt. Check out their website & blog for more felt-loving posts & felt products.

Kakulas Brothers

It was my first time entering this wonderful wholesale grains & spices shop, Kakulas Brothers on William St yesterday. I've walked past it a few times but never stepped inside until then. There's a strong aroma of spices lingering in the air as you near the shop.

I like to be in shops like this one. It's nostalgic feeling. And i was glad i found some poppy seeds (planning to bake Orange poppy seed cupcakes!) and some chocolate coated nuts! Now i know where i can easily buy some spices.

I grabbed some goodies for just under $5! I realized they only accept CASH (lol, it's emphasized everywhere in the shop!) and i only had $5. I got some poppy seeds, walnuts & trying some choc-coated cranberries. yum!

George Senior still works the till, keeping his 90-year-old mind alert remembering hundreds of price codes. Spices by the sack, any fruit you can dry (and other muesli fixin's), Mediterranean olives, Austrian wafers, Polish Morello Cherries. They've recently changed their system, so forgive the poor guy if he overcharges you for the odd dried apricot. Tea is sold by the gram. Fourty cents at Kakulas gets you the same as $20 at certain wanky tea houses. Columbian coffee is ground to your requirements.
Drop in. Say yasou to George. Listen to his stories. Admire his range. Envy his nose.

I think I saw the hardworking George. He was at the counter, busy serving customer. =)

Just a few random

guess what...

I decided that Nikon coolpix compact camera is not my type afterall...

So i went back to the shop and did an exchanged for Canon Ixus. Always been a Canon user, i'm glad that i made this decision. A sense of familiarity.

Happier now taking pictures with my new Canon. =)

haven't play with Poladroid for ages!

Learned my lesson. Gotta be careful not to let sand come near my cammy!!

Also, recently I started pinning on Pinterest! Check it out! Loads of inspirations! I like the very organized idea of assorted boards to categorize images.
