Jin's baby shower

       




















Last Saturday, a bunch of us gathered at Kim & Jin's house for Jin's baby shower. Everyone put in their creativity and made it a wonderful time together. We had blue themed decorations. Kim made the most gorgeous vanilla cupcakes with perfect icing piping skill! He said it took him a long time to get them right. He's a natural i reckoned! Jin made some mobiles out of coloured paper and sewn them into strings of cuteness! Cindy made the loveliest pom poms! Lisa hand-sewn fleece bunting which was so soft. Dao, the chef made some yummy finger food & jelly dessert. David & Bena bought super cute balloons including a gigantic baby shaped balloon. Bena also made dragon themed head accessories.

We indulged in awesome Korean BBQ lunch outside in the beautifully decorated backyard. Perfect weather for outdoor BBQ. We played limbo with balloons under our shirts. We laughed and laughed. After the games, we had freshly brewed hazelnut coffee from Gloria Jeans & enjoyed the cupcakes. Lastly we all gathered together as Jin opened up the presents. Lisa's precious darling, Robyn was enjoying herself too...getting all the attention from the aunties & uncles. And she got to play with the toys first! haha!

It was truly a wonderful time to bless the parents-to-be. =)

Baby Shower

Green themed Baby Shower!

Last Saturday i went to a friend's baby shower. 2 of her friends hosted the event and some of us helped to set up/bake/prepare food etc. It was so much fun arranging/decorating her dining table. I made some macarons too. One of her friend baked rabbit cupcakes! so yummy! We ate, chatted, laughed, played games, took LOTS of pictures & opened all gifts. The mom-to-be was overjoyed! we all are so excited to see her first baby girl's arrival in a month's time!

Foundation Day PH & Food pics!

It's Foundation Day Public Holiday in Perth today. Yay for most people having a day off (long weekend). I gotta go to work in just a little while...but yay, triple pay!

bought 2 Lego minifigures and they turned out to be a pair! lol!

It's Dragon Boat Festival today! Friends from church dropped by and gave us some rice dumplings! Yumm!

My housemate & i attempted matcha macarons this morning. Her first time ever making macarons which turned out pretty successful! They are so good!

And seeing my little niece again just made everything alright for me. Little bundle of joy. Watching her smiles just melt away all wearies. =)

 On Thursday 10.3.11, my dearest sis gave birth to a healthy 3.47g baby girl. She is fair, cute as a button & just simply stole our hearts away. I am marvelled at the thought of God's wondrous creation. He custom-made each one of us so uniquely, so delicately.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my
mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully
made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not
hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven
together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of
them came to be. -Psalm 139:13-16

we are indeed fearfully & wonderfully made in His image. May we reflect who He is within us in our daily lives.

I can't stop smiling & praising God for his love & grace upon my sister, her hubby & their newborn baby girl. May God guide the first-time parents with his wisdom, loving-kindness to raise this precious one.

Bunny Baby Gift Set

bro bought these for our first niece!

So, my sis is due to have her first baby girl in the next few weeks! We are all so excited! Sis posted the photo above on her facebook yesterday. These lovely gift set of a blanket, a bib & a burp cloth was from baby's uncle who is in Adelaide.

I remembered seeing these some times ago. So i asked bro where he got them from. ETSY! he said.
And sure enough, i've favourited these on my etsy a while ago.

P/s: the games i've prepared (sis helped brainstorming too) turned out pretty fun actually...! Super Diaper Change, Drink like a Baby Bottledrink race, Charades, Pin the pacifier to the baby & the Ultimate Feeding game (Feeding a 'baby' blindfolded receiving instructions from 3rd person) I think the guests enjoyed themselves...i hope...haha.

The Baby Shower yesterday was a blast! We had these lovely mini cupcakes from Heaven in a bite which were irresistable! They were in one-bite size with different flavour icing toppings. Love the cute little details on the icing! yumm!

All i can think about now is...

Mini-cupcakes!!
