Frankie issue 48

On Wednesday, i braved the rain to get my copy of the latest issue of Frankie from the local newsagency. Then the sun came out again so i quickly took a few snapshots with my macarons.
The night before, i went into a baking spree, making batches of macarons. I was unstoppable! hehe.

Macarons, tea & Frankie turned out to be a perfect combination on a winter afternoon. Frankie, as always, is full of interesting & witty articles.

Happy Friday lovelies!

Friday Funk: the PianoGuys

Lately i am in love with the wonderful & cleverly inspiring instrumental covers by the PianoGuys.

Here are some of my favourites.

A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
Jon Schmidt: piano
Steven Sharp Nelson: acoustic cello, & cello-percussion

Happy Together =)

Bf sent me this happifying song few days ago. The video was hilarious! It looked as if the Cello (Jackie) came alive. Obviously Steve & Jackie were so HAPPY together in the video.

Without You by David Guetta ft. Usher

DIY stencil pillow

A while ago, i spotted this lovely DIY stencil pillow by Wit & Whistle via Pinterest. I pinned it to my DIY board and was hoping that one day i would give it a go.

So last Friday I took out my sewing machine and made a simple pillow case out of a canvas cloth i bought from Spotlight. Then i stenciled a lovely quote onto the pillow using a fabric marker pen. It took me a few good hours to complete it. I am happy with the end result. yay! =)

Today Matters

Today Matters.
Whatever you're up to...hope you pause for a second
to ponder upon this year 2011.
Think of the good times, the bad & the not so glamorous times.
These are the moments we will take with us into the new year.

Funky badges from my friend, Cheryl! All the way from Malaysia!
Thank you! =)

Lovely surprises came through the mail yesterday. iLike!

On a different note, just want to share a rather relaxing day-dreaming song with you to cap off 2011.
Musing thoughts on backpacking around Europe.

2012 is full of new dreams, new hope, new strength, new adventures.

"We question what we are
This I spent the best so far
And I miss you
When we're apart"

Did a mini painting of Fish Tail Mountain and framed it in a red paper-mache photo frame i bought from Nepal. Haven't painted in ages so i thoroughly enjoyed myself this morning. Quite happy with the result. I used a card from Nepali friend & magnet picture for reference.

Few nights ago, i cut out alphabets that spelled Merry Christmas.
It begins to feel like Christmas except that i dream of a white Christmas.
