Sydney

Sydney Opera House
After Jervis Bay, I was in Sydney for a few more days before heading back to Perth. Friends and i spent most of the time exploring Surry Hills, strolling along at the Rocks, Circular Quay & CBD.
Here are some of the places we visited.

The Standard Store on 503 Crown st, Surry Hill
we had breakfast at Bourke Street Cafe, Surry Hills.

their pork & fennel sausage rolls are very good, must try.

We all shared the popular pork & fennel sausage roll, chicken coriander corn sausage roll, spinach corn ricotta quiche, pear danish, lemon curd tart, strawberry & vanilla brulee tart (yum!)

Ampersand Cafe Bookstore, Surry Hill
After breakfast at Bourke Street Bakery, we strolled around Surry Hills and we came to a cafe bookstore called Ampersand.

Perfect spot to spend an arvo browsing at books and have some hot drinks and small bites.

We shared a Schlachtplatte (see menu here)
"Löwenbräu’s Selection of Bavarian Specialties - Sausages, Chicken Schnitzel, Meat Loaf and Roast Pork Belly, Served with Mashed Potatoes, Sauerkraut, Braised Red Cabbage, Bread Dumpling and Bier Gravy Double the Size and get a Roasted Pork Knuckle on Top!"

We went to watch Macbeth play at Sydney Opera House.
Intriguing concept and modern twist to Shakespeare's Macbeth. The three witches were represented by one character and Macbeth's wife character stood out for me. She did a brilliant job. After the play, there was a Q&A session which was really helpful in wrapping up the whole play.

Nice window display at the Rocks Pop-up Project at 77 George st.
Adriano Zumbo's macarons at The Star, Prymont ( the fillings are too creamy)
